Star Dust Cosplay here with another awesome event to bring to you! This time we covered the Halloween event of the season; SafePet's Gin and Jazz Ball of 2017!
It was a night of music and dancing. Gin and jazz! It was a night which brought back the 1920's! This Gala was hosted by SafePet! It was their second Gala, established to help raise money for their cause; to help Women, Children, and Animals, flee from Domestic Violence and Abuse.
They had a beautiful venue set up and lots of activities for people to enjoy through out the night!
There was even an awesome photo booth with a backdrop set up where people could take photos and use props. People really enjoyed getting together taking these photos. Everyone had a lot of fun!
There was of course Gin and Jazz as well. Gin tasting, Jazz music, and dancing through out the night. There was a 50/50 draw even! Not to mention, a delicious 5-course dinner served, featuring Butternut Squash Soup, Short Ribs, Boston Cream Cake, and more! Additionally, there was a live DJ and band, as well as a live comedian during dinner. There was so much going on, it was a great night for everyone!
What does SafePet do you ask? "SafePet Ottawa fosters companion animals for women and their children who need to exit from domestic violence into the safety of local Violence Against Women (VAW) shelters. They run a very good cause. They have a wide variety of volunteers that foster their animals as well that take in the animals for the families in need that need help. And of course there was the costumes and the outfits that everyone wore at the gala, all based on 1920's attire!
It was a beautiful night and everyone had a great time. It truly was the place to be, or should I say, it was, the bee's knees, the cat's pajamas, or even Hotsy-totsy!
